Greetings to you and your families. As the leaves change color and we settle into autumn it’s hard to believe that several months have already past since our Pacific Coast family enjoyed time together in beautiful Pasadena. On behalf of the membership I want to congratulate Bob and Ruth Ann for hosting a fabulous meeting. They seamlessly orchestrated another wonderful meeting to remember. Charlie Goodacre and his committee compiled a superb scientific program while Jacinth Paquette and her committee pampered and entertained us with true Southern California hospitality. Also, a very heartfelt thank you to Rodger Lawton for his tireless efforts as our Secretary Treasurer.

I am humbled and honored to serve as your President and preside over the next annual meeting in Victoria. My best efforts will be extended on your behalf to maintain the integrity and pursue the goals of our society. With the continued assistance and support of the executive council, committees, and memberships, I look forward to a productive year.

On another note, I wish to again honor and pay respect to Gerald Bellagamba, Harold Schnepper, and Bob Brigante, all who passed away this year. They will be deeply missed.

Final plans for the Victoria meeting are progressing nicely. We are very excited with the Scientific Program Keith Phillips has compiled for us in Victoria. The theme for this year’s meeting is “Natural Beauty”. The program is multidisciplinary in scope and hence will cover a wide range of topics. Larry Over will be our Local Arrangements Chairman and has a variety of great social events in beautiful venues for us to enjoy. Chris Travis has organized an amazing 4 day pre-meeting fishing trip. If you are interested then contact Chris soon, since this opportunity is limited to 9 people. A children’s program will also be offering a variety of activities. In all, Victoria is a great family holiday destination. Kristie and I are looking forward to welcoming you all to Victoria and the legendary Empress Hotel in 2012.
