Contemporary Architectural Designs of Implant Restorations

Time: 11:50 AM, June 19, 2025
Speaker: Steven Brisman

Synopsis:

The Perio-Prosthodontic journey from teeth to implants for tooth replacements often pose a complete set of other issues that we face.  The architectural design of the final restoration needs to be evaluated from both a pre- and post-surgical standpoint.  Implant supported restorations require a decision on cementable and screw retained restorations.  Can we modify the design to create either approach?  What materials do we use and what is the design?

An in-depth evaluation of both OEM and third-party componentry along with some of the manufacturing limitations is critical. Ultimately, a close coordination with our dental laboratory technicians and partners is imperative.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the tooth to implant change or evolution with a PerioProsthodontic perspective.
  • Understand the differences in post-surgical implant prosthodontic treatment planning utilizing analog and digital dental laboratory modalities.
  • Participants will be able to analyze CAD/CAM restorative protocols and options for the restoration of anterior and posterior implant supported prostheses.
  • Participants be able to evaluate the advantages and limitations of OEM versus third-party componentry in the fabrication of final restorations.
