Established in 2016, the Audain Art Museum is a leading arts organization founded upon thdiv major philanthropic gift of Michael Audain and Yoshiko Karasawa. The museum was designed by the internationally-renowned firm Patkau Architects, the AAM boasts a comprehensive Permanent Collection of the province’s most celebrated artists. Exemplifying the richness of cultural difference in Canada, the collection takes visitors on a transformative visual journey from the late 18th century to present. Once you arrive at The Audain Art Museum, a private Docent will offer an intimate look at the strengths of the collection: carving, painting, and photography. They will discuss the historical context, artistic movements, techniques, and messages within the art of their Permanent Collection and Special Exhibitions. This is a short 15 minute walk from the Westin Whistler.
