Time: Jun 18, 2026 9:10 AM - 9:40 AM PDT
Speaker: Kelly Leong

Synopsis:
This presentation aims to review the types of dental resorption, describing the etiology,
pathogenesis, and current techniques for endodontic management. Special emphasis will be
placed on external invasive cervical resorption (EICR), one of the most challenging forms to
diagnose and treat. The role of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in identifying and
characterizing resorptive lesions will be highlighted, along with case-based discussions of
treatment approaches and outcomes. Current techniques for surgical management of
resorptive defects will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize clinical and radiographic features of different types of resorp7on.
2. Describe the role of CBCT in the diagnosis and classifica7on of resorp7ve lesions.
3. Explain current endodon7c techniques for resorp7ve lesions, including surgical
management of EICR.
